The Awakening of Global Consciousness

Postmodern Times is a series of short animated films presenting new ideas about global consciousness and techniques for social and ecological transformation. Our first episode, "Toward 2012", introduces the project, explaining concepts from the best-selling book, "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl" (Tarcher/Penguin, 2006) by Daniel Pinchbeck, in the author's own voice.

Future segments will focus on shamanism, sustainability, alternative energy systems, the Mayan Calendar, quantum physics and synchronicity, human sexuality, and a host of other subjects.

Every person who gets into spiritualism gets into a loop of self-reinforcement of thier belief system, reading things that reinforce - hanging around people who reinforce - and most importantly repeating mantras that reinforce.

Thus they all think that they are on the verge of some huge spiritual awakening.

They are just deluded.

You are no differnt. The true path to enlightenment is learning what BS you belive in or sumbconciously practice; and why it is BS.

@WhiteSergeant wow, you really think that "Apocalypto" is the whole story? funnily enough, the evil acts seen in this film a based more in our current tims of war and fear than in ancient societies. maybe you should do some research on the mayan knowledge and see why the vatican paid the Spanish conteestadores to steal their knowledge. open you mind to more than the bullshit you are fed by the mass media, learn for yourself instead of taking what people or movies tell you to think!

I agree with every word - personal responsibility and a fearless self-exploration, alongside practicing love, compassion, understanding - will break down our walls - material and spiritual. Wars will end when people stop becoming soldiers and begin to see the light within and one another.
