  • I am trying to follow in Elements. I go to select and see the similar option but it isn't highlighted, it won't let me choose it. Any ideas why?

  • @amymsusi not sure - google "select color range elements" maybe this might help. The color mode you're working in shouldnt really even matter. I can't think of anything else, try changing the tool you're on. Click the selection tool first maybe?

  • Can you list what you did in that video..like a scripted tutorial...the images are to blurred..I would really appreciate it

  • It's pretty straightforward. I talk you through the entire thing - pause and replay it over and over again if you have to man.

  • Good tutorial. What screen capture software do you use? I uploaded my first tutorial last night.

  • i may have used camstasia - either that one or free screen recorder. ill check out your tut's, thanks

  • This is great, but ever time I add the new layer and layer mask, the selected area automatically becomes un-selected. Additionally how did you "paste" that image in? I tried the move tool, I tried command C, then V to paste. I am having trouble. This just seems so much easier than using the history brush which is how I usually fix a blown out sky. Thanks so much!

  • thanks! this was cool! never knew you could do the patch thing, that sort of blew me away haha

as well as the color range thing
