We are obviously not talking about rural el cajon here, we are talking the city of el cajon. Very few people live in rural el cajon, trust me, I am one of them. By that logic, you could say any city, for example detroit, is nice.

@realboltfan okay when u say "quality of living" you have no idea what your talking about..... have you been to Blossom Valley?! its in el cajon. because most parts of lakeside is horrible "quality of living" compared to Blossom Valley. there r so many beautiful parts of el cajon. dont judge.

Geographically speaking, El Cajon would be more like the armpit of SD, San Ysidro would be the anus and Vista would be the snot nose.

@ericon101 Emerald St. is pretty bad- one of the worst!! I used to live in a house there just north of Washington. That was about 20 years ago and it was bad then. I remember once there was a guy found dead behind a dumpster for one of the complexes up closer to Lexington 'in the pose'... meaning squatted down, needle in arm... only laying on his side, keeled over! Hope you are out of that neighborhood now!! Good luck to you young man!

El Cajon is a fine collaboration of some of the worst of every race in the county. It's like all the rejects from the other counties met up here. Santee and Lakeside are both way better than El Cajon in terms of quality of living. El Cajon may not have the rednecks that santee and lakeside do, but it makes up for it with gangs and criminals. BTW I am born and raised in El Cajon, the quality of people and amount of drugs has never been great, take a cruise down main street for confirmation.
