Through Fair Trade certification not only do farmers earn a higher price for their goods, they also receive an additional premium fund for community development projects. These funds are used for things like building schools, health care clinics and clean water wells, as well as for home loans, scholarships and transportation. Fair Trade empowers communities to take their futures into their own hands.

Generous heart from Fair Trade in giving Belize's cane farmers $millions to benefit, but sad to see that only Directors from the Associations benefit and farmers continue to suffer and struggle for their daily living. General meeting is waste of time farmers are not respected and directors do what they want with the funds.

In Belize it is the leaders benefiting from the funds and not the farmers it is corruption to the max with the Fair trade funds.

ITs not really fair trade where the sellers need to pay £500 per year just to get certified it fair trade. Just another way of making money.

Wonderful video. I own a small Fair Trade store in Michigan and a lot of people here aren't aware of what Fair Trade is. I thank you for putting together this terrific and up lifting video that clearly explains Fair Trade.
