Northeast Portland stretches 162 blocks east of the Willamette River. Covering such a large area, just about every housing style and neighborhood can be found here. The most famous and popular neighborhoods in NE Portland are those "close-in," closest to downtown. This is where the historic Irvington neighborhood sits. Surrounded by cafes and pizza parlors, restaurants and markets, the Irvington neighborhood boasts some of Portland's oldest, most charming houses. Prices start near $500,000 and range to about $1 million. The Grant Park neighborhood is just to the east of Irvington with similar housing styles and home to Grant High School. Grant Park borders the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood, continuing the traditional charm of yesteryear. Prices range from near $400,000 to $1 million.
