Loving parents of a 17 year old girl are wondering if this nasty bedroom is typical. We've tried everything to help our daughter get organized and keep her room clean. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

first of all that would be a nice room if it was clean, next TOO MUCH PURPLE! last it looked like on the flas\h back the door knob whent from silver to gold....

Um, my daughter's room is about the same. But that is typical. I thought this room didn't look too bad, actually. You should see my boys' room. Get a hobby to take your mind off of it. Like knitting.

That room looks like a typical teenager's room, at least you can see the floor easily. If you don't think you can see the floor easily you should see some other teenagers' rooms, a lot don't even have a path made through all the crap on the floor to walk on, which she has, they just walk over it.

Here's my suggestion........make sure your homeowner's insurance is up to date and valid, 1st of all. Trickle plenty of Everclear Pure Grain Alcohol all over the room and strike a match. Shut the door and call the fire department immediately so that the rest of the house is safe. When they find that the accelerant used was alcohol, it will seem more plausible as a slumber party gone awry not "arson out of disgust". Maker her live in the garage for 6 months while her room is being remodeled
