Yeah, seems somebody managed to combine Van's name with his sometime co-anchor Marcia Brandwynne.

His name is Fred Van Amburg.

I was told van Ambergs real name was marcia

van amberg. So he had it chaned to van Amberg

Wow. I remember these news anchors when I was a kid. I especially remember Jerry Jensen and Dan Van Amburg. It seems strange now that they were all Men, all Caucasian men. My how times have changed/improved. But I did so love hearing the theme music come on as I lay in bed while my parents watched the news. It was, somehow, comforting.
