I arrived here looking to make an abusive remark about the surveillance state but that moron swinging the coke bottle changed my mind.
Keep up the good work!

I really like what U R doing in your neighborhood and Its clear that your argument is stronger than mine.
As a prevention measure, may I suggest that you put a sign to warn PPL of UR activity in UR neighborhood, Like "CCTV in operation" signs.
I think this will spread the word.
This video makes me wanna litter everywhere.

@zzzaaa09900 And if you litter here in St Peters or Highfields in Leicester and we see you it will make us want to exploit your face and image everywhere as part of our anti littering campaign.
Not only will everyone now be able to see you but your descendants will see and know what you were like also. Perhaps they will also be litter louts and we will be able to show how they come from a long line of litter louts.

Small amend, StPetersNM - in the UK for this type of offence it is likely to either be a Magistrate or a Police Officer who decides on the punishment (depending on whether a fine or a caution, or just a "don't do it again"). Littering will rarely go to full trial.

Whilst leicestershire Police might say they will act, the fact of the matter is, is that they don't.
Rather what happens is they look to Leicester City Council to issue fixed penalty notices which if they are not paid (which is rare but does happen) then it does go to trial.
Leicester city council will not issue a fixed penalty notice unless they are prepared to take a case to trial.
Our meetings have always been with LCC and never with the police who are not interested to be honest.

Police won't share info from PNC check with leicester city council.
Thats pretty much why we have bypassed the police on this as they don't really want to know about littering round here.
They see it as something lcc should deal with. But yer... thats right... Leicester city council don't have the access to the information needed.

We are now told by the police that they will now share info from a pnc check with leicester city council to support them in taking action.
There has apparently been a "change of rules".
(Its amazing how many rules get changed with a bit of publicity on issues...)
