The Miami grassroots group Take Back the Land has launched a campaign to help some of the victims of the foreclosure crisis. The group has been helping homeless families illegally move into vacant homes that have been foreclosed. We speak to Take Back the Land founder Max Rameau. [includes rush transcript]

Good move; empty houses serve no public good. Eliminate the bankers and their controlling greedy behaviour. There is no need for banks and money when resources are freely available. Mother earth does not charge humans for her resources.

Housing is definitely not a "right," it's a privilege. However, stealing from the government after they stole so much from us, well it only seems just at this point.

I'm curious to know though how the government got to own these houses? I thought the bailout money went straight to the banks. Is this a state-level ownership we're talking about?
