Inside the Medieval Mind is a documentary exploration of medieval attitudes by historian Robert Bartlett. Religious interpretations dominated the thinking of the time.

Knowledge explores the disenchantment of the medieval world, as a rediscovery of ancient knowledge and new methods of scholarship in universities led to an intellectual and scientific revolution during this period, whilst exploration and trading contacts expanded the medieval world view beyond all imagination.

Yes, I thought that you probably had seen them on the other channel. I did not want to waste all that earlier work, particularly since I wanted to provide a resource. On the other hand, I much prefer making videos to reuploading them! Once I have uploaded the old material, I shall think about what to make next.

Actually, if you like this sort of program, then you'd probably like the more recent documentary that Bartlett did on the Normans, particularly since they originated in your neck of the woods ;)

It's a lot of programs, unfortunately far from HD, but very good indeed! Comes as a playlist, so you don't have to lift a finger but for the first video. The whole channel seems good.
