  • Anyway. I wonder to what happened to that beautiful ship? You wrote that she was active till 2004. After that?? I really hope that she is still alive. These jewel-ships should stay alive, perhaps in a museum. And generally, i believe that all ships should stay alive. I really feel very sad when i learn that a ship goes for scrap. I really wish that i could keep alive all old ships. So many men work on them, so many lifes, so many memories. Like an ex-seaman, i feel the ships like myself....

  • Wonderful ship !! Reminds me nice and very nostalgic memories from marine academy as well as my life as a 3rd engineer at sea. Most of my life was at Japanese ULCC tankers, all equipped with Mitsubishi and Kawasaki steam turbines. My last ship was in 2006 and it was an LNG built at Korea but the whole engine room was Japanese (boilers, turbines, e.t.c.). I love the steam turbines and i certainly prefered them than diesel engines.

  • なんで北斗丸は

    異常に怖かったんだろ。恐い士官を無理に集めたのだろうか。

  • wow your TS looks lot better than ours. we have an old steam ship all the engine room is a mess
