Goot WS-11 Antistatic Wrist StrapElectrostatic discharge is one of the main causes of failures of electronic devices. The first protection measure against static electricity when working with electronic components, boards and devices is using an antistatic wrist strap, and we will review the WS-11 wrist strap produced under the Goot brand as an example. It consists of a strap made of high-quality durable semiconducting fabric and the grounding system which is a contact wire where one end is connected to the wrist strap loop through a reliable terminal connection, and the other end is directly connected to the grounding conductor via a crocodile clip or in conjunction with an antistatic mat through a special connector. Highly dense conductive fabric is woven into the strap ensuring the skin contact even under small pressure that can be controlled by changing the strap length.
