Listening Post

The "Listening Post" is a 'dynamic portrait' of online communication. Consisted by small digital screens and an elaborate audio installation. The "Listening Post" serves as an audiovisual mirror of messages transmitted through public chat-rooms and online fora.

On the screens, the viewer can see these messages while an invisible narrator recounts their content. Some are simple and naive. Others are raw, violent and explicit. All messages are authentic and depict the online reality. Sometimes, we tend to forget the power of the medium, until we can actually listen to the transmitted content and transform our observation into a visceral, embodied experience.
