The silhouette artwork is so intricate, and this is very informative, from a historical and modern point of view. The work is the best of the century, the story in American Profile Magazine about Silhouettes for Survivors, and on You Tube by American Profile Magazine, is heart warming.

Any color of paper can be used for silhouettes, but black paper is traditional to carve a likeness of an individual in the French and English style, so popular in the 1700 and 1800's.
