That stupid book is worthless, because science doesn't prove anything. All it does is bring forth hypotheses, which then goes on to expand on what COULD BE, not what IS. In order for you to even get to the hypothesis stage, you have to be able to observe whatever you're researching, and then go on to draw conclusions using deductive reasoning. Since the idea of faith is drawn from us believing in God, rather than knowing, there really is no way to know one way or another if he actually exists.

Those are higher powers, by right of definition. Higher power - Power (strength, might, force, etc) that is above the subject being discussed. If you can wrap your smal head around it, you would understand where "the matter [came] from that created the universe in theories such as the big bang theory" [sic]. The simple fact that nothing, literally nothing, not a vaccum, not space, not air, not a hole, but Nothing, allowed Something to Be. Also, "It has been disproven by many animals that simply could not have evolved." Which animals? List three, at least.
