This is great but I disagree with one point...you said anything is better than on camera. NOPE lol I have an Olympus VN-2100PC digital recorder that is about 5 times WORSE than my camera mic! lol like I said this is great (just downloaded the app) but ANYTHING is not always better than camera mic.

Lav mics cost just as much an iPhone.

Just did a test of this and while I don't have Premier so syncing audio is harder for me but I got it to work and it's really cool idea.

I essentially agree with what was said...except for the bit about wanting the mic as close to the speaker as possible. That's just not so. You want the mic used to be close enough, but not so close that it gets in the way. The mic has a range. You want to be sure the speaker is within that mic's effective/useful range. Be careful about rules of thumb.

i downloaded the app and read the features and it says that "Auto-noise cancellation (on iPhone 4)"

I have an iPhone 3gs... does that affect the quality or something coz i make videos of me singing
