Middle Finger Pull

The Middle Finger Pull is a traditional game played nearly every Christmas in Shishmaref. It tests your toughness and strength as you use your middle finger to pull your opponent's hand away from his body and keep your opponent from pulling your hand towards his body. The elders long ago designed this game for times when you might be losing your seal as it slipped back into the water and all you had to grab it with was your middle finger. See also the pinky pull.
