I am a catcher and any time the ump gets hit i will ask if he is all right and take alittle more time throwing and getting in the stance for him

i was a batter and i got beamed by a fast wild pitcher three times in the same game in the shins everytime and the third time i had a shot of adrenaline and smashed the tip of my bat into the dirt out of anger and frustration, and some of my bigger teammates were going to rush the mound so the umpire called time walked to mound which gave me time to cool my head, he called the pitchers coach out to the mound and the coach pulled the pitcher and the game went on without a fight, thats a good ump

@icejcruz I got my face mask broken by a ball fouled straight back in 1993. Finished the game with the broken mask, then got backups for all my equipment in case something similar happened. Needless to say, I was a little nervous about taking another one in that game with the broken mask.
