The Chapel's: 2008 [01/02]

This some-what long video is dedicated to The Chapel HL2DM, using footage only from 2008. It was something I've been wanting to do for about a year now. Having a great amount of demo recordings, I put them to use. I hope you like it.

The reason that there is less footage between the August-October area was because I started my first year of high school in mid-August, and it left me quite occupied with adapting and meeting new friends. (This explains why I have no footage of September AT ALL.) I believe I made it up with more footage for the later months (November and December.)

The reason I used "Champagne Supernova" by Oasis because it represents the calm beginning to this server's 2008, while the fun builds up later in the second half of the year. (Which is why I used such a nighttime song in the second half to represent the very fun times.)

This is footage of the first time we played the map rp_alaska, which has become famous and played commonly on The Chapel HL2DM today.

If you haven't played this map, you might not understand what is going on. There are 10 rooms, each having a teleporter for you to send items into your room. Being evil, I stacked a lot of books onto someone's teleporter and activated it, sending it all into his room. There was more footage of this victim's hilarious reaction, but I couldn't use it because his microphone would mess up my sound card, and even the music in the video. So, I was unfortunately unable to use the footage.

Completely understandable to not know what's going on in this short clip. This kid was experiencing a client-side glitch in the game, where an item would follow you. His reaction to it was hilarious, in my opinion.

Bob[RNS], an admin, worked hard on his script to make this simply cool elevator.

6. 3:18
This was a race track, where it was basically a foot-race. Another time killer Bob[RNS] came up with.

I created the sign myself, with the intention of picking on this guy. After enough people laughing at my sign, he couldn't take it anymore and started to destroy it. He was one of the few I would mess with all the time.

This bar was actually my first admin creation ever, when an admin gave me temp admin for that map. People loved it. :D

Buildmin is not a priority; it only gives you advanced commands for building. That's only been around for a year for regulars. Before that, for so many years, you had the same commands like anyone else who wasn't an admin.
