  • I have ASD and I think it's beautiful

  • @jonandra P.S. I was married to him for almost 8 years. I kept clinging to the hope that he would fulfill his promises and "grow-up" to be the man he kept saying he was. He filed for divorce to get better financial aid as a single parent from school aid. He kept insisting we were friends until I put my foot down about 50/50 custody of the kids... then hostilities ensued... :/

  • I would guess my first husband was attracted to me because of my seeming innocence. It took about a year or so for that illusion to crumble. I still don't really understand what he wanted from the relationship, nor why he wasted both our times. He was controlling, compulsively deceptive, insecure... He may have been Aspie himself (no clue, really) but he definitely had identity issues. Anyway, I married the man he wanted me to believe him to be... but that wasn't him.

  • @florencelovme Didn't see your comment but can gather enough that it was unkind in it's content, pity you haven't got anything better to do with your time except leaving vacuous comments and watching the usual serial mass market trash!

  • @florencelovme I have Asperger Syndrome, and I'm trying to teach myself to trust others, thank you. AS may be hard, but I prefer being different than normal as soon as I found out what many neurotypicals are like.

  • I think that there are some very good points here. I know that I had issues surrounding menstruation, including compulsion to hide evidence of it, when I reached menarche and a year or so following. Until I had my first BF in HS I was planning not to have serious relationships till my 30s so that I could get an edu. Additionally, The impulsive behavior as well as issues with social behavior led me to be promiscuous after that BF for a time- it was the easiest way for me to interact with people.

  • I have AS and remember not wanting to get married and tied down as young as four. I didn't want children either and still don't. I'm asexual and proud.
