The Airport Takeoff™ bag is the new standard in a rolling camera backpack. Think Tank Photo has designed a transportation solution that combines the portability of a backpack with the ease of a rolling suitcase.
I travel extensively shooting destination weddings, corporate events, and wildlife...the Takeoff is my dream companion! It fits overhead in all but the smallest commuter jets. On those, I have to sacrifice a little leg room, but have no complaints about doing so when the alternative is to gate check it. My friend has a different system and has to do that. Once he arrived at his shoot and the prongs on his hot shoe had been bashed...couldn't use his flash! I love my Takeoff!!!
I just finished a gig with 26 flights and this thing saved me. I don't see how it could fit under a seat, but it holds an insane amount of gear and is extremely well made.
@ThinkTankCustSvc I'm not questioning your information; after all, your bags are quite popular among air travelers. It just struck me as odd that your video shows the exact opposite of what the caption claims.
@rvdw98 The crucial dimension for fitting a back under-seat is the height which is between 8.5-10" on most commercial airlines. Most traveling photographers would sacrifice the leg room if it would avoid checking their bag. Generally, the stewardess won't hassle you and if you stress that you are a pro-photographer, they won't bat an eye.
Let me know if you have any other questions about traveling with your gear!

Funny how the video says that the bag stows "underseat" and then shows that it actually doesn't.
