A ride across the N206 provincial highway in the Netherlands, which is a high-standard road with a substandard speed limit in the province of Zuid-Holland. It was originally conceived as a freeway from Den Haag to Haarlem, but only a small section around Katwijk was eventually built with 2x2 lanes, the rest has 1x2 lanes, but is completely grade-separated and has expressway status.

  • Thanks Chris for the great video! Write please, what type/name of font do You use in your annotations for this video. It seems that the same as in the road signs.

  • @agnettejohansson It's indeed the same font as used on motorway signs. It's not the same as used on non-motorways, they have a different font. The font is used in many countries, in the U.S. it's called Highway Gothic or FHWA Interstate, in the Netherlands it's an RWS font. (rijkswaterstaat - road authority)

  • Interesting - an un-seperated 2 lane highway with limited control access ramps. Never seen anything like that before.

  • Nicely done, Chris. I like the Super-2 portion of the video. Nice access control in the Netherlands.

  • Nice video
