  • How come the crossfader is always to the right on the djm (not the cdj...)? Doesn't that mean that if the crossfader is to the right that the music coming from the right cdj plays out loud and the music coming from the left cdj plays in your headphones and not out loud? So you are actually not mixing at all since you never move the crossfader. You are just playing songs one after another from the right cdj and messing around with a couple of the knobs. Good at faking it though lol.

  • @stillkillzz You spent all this effort to analyze the video, just to FAIL. Both channels are assigned to right side of the cross-fader, I mix using up-faders and EQ. I monitor by using headphone CUE/MASTER mix knob, as many club DJs do when it's too loud in the DJ booth. Note that I select which channel is CUE using buttons underneath the EQ. Why would I go to all this trouble to post a fake video, I have a life, and unfortunately for you, you don't.

  • Oh, and great mix man. I really enjoyed it. I hope you're still DJing now.

  • Thanks! Unfortunately, DJing is on a back burner right now, but I'll be back :) As for looping, I've since switched to Torq (DVS system), and I use a MIDI controller (Akai MPD24) to trigger loops. Still use my CDJs and mixer though.

  • 1) CDJs don't have crossfaders, they have pitch controls. 2) Beatmatching is easy, and wasn't really the point. 3) 5:37... and more if you actually watch the whole video.
