  • Besides workflow, was there any other reason why you let go of the MPC 5000? Any major difference in sound without it?

  • @allisfiction1

    Now, it was really the workflow only. Well, maybe a bit the bugs that occured here and there in the MPC's OS. Actually, this whole hardware only concept was a big mistake afterwards. My lesson learned is "Don't do things too dogmatically!" Probably I'd still have the MPC if I had combined it with an audio interface and DAW in the beginning. But whatever! I'm very happy with Reason 6 and ReCycle now!

  • hi, what's the the quality of the the recordings produced by the lexicon compared to other interfaces? are the pre-amps good? (i.e. plenty of gain and clarity)

  • @PRussy666

    For the price the pre-amps sound really good! I have no comparison to other interfaces though, only to my former Mackie mixer.Imho they sound decent with enough gain. Highs aren't the most crystal clear, but I use an AT 4040 which is a quite neutral mic and this combination gives me more than satisfactory results.

  • Actually, here is the link with lovely examples of it's presets:

    Synthmania[dot]com --> search for VZ-10M

  • wow casio makes sound racks where did u find that ebay?

  • @blc01

    They made sound racks in the past. I found this one in a vintage synth database and bought it off of eBay. It's a cool unit. I'm gonna post a video of it sometime in the future!
