Woodward School for Girls In Quincy has been preparing young women for life for 115 years. Woodward can trace its roots back to the family of John Adams. The private, independent school was founded in 1869 by Ebenezer Woodward, a cousin and personal physician to both John and Abigail Adams. Today, still housed in the original Queen Anne building, Woodward maintains a unique history and role in the education scene of Greater Boston.
