  • Bahahahah this VR6 DOES NOT have cams bruddah nice try though.

  • @jeridHawaii ummm yeah it does, has Tecktonics cams, ask the owner

  • @jeridHawaii there you go

  • From '92-98 they were 2.8L 12v's w/ 172 crank hp and similar tq at 4400 rpm. from '99-02.5 they were still 12v, but 174 crank and again similar tq but around 2800-3200 rpm. Then from '02.5-.04 they went to 24v and 200 crank. So as if it were planned, VW and Honda always released similar output's across corresponding yrs. To say the k20 is superior, the #'s would say yes when compared to an old 12v. Would be no compared to an '04 24v. But for tunability, I'd say yes, k20 would take mods better

  • @vwfansince4 would be yes still compared to the 24v as the K20z1 makes 210hp in stock form and is a 4 cylinder while the VR is a 6, lolllll

  • It has 268's from TT

  • I cant see whats going on

  • @t18013 I've backed up everything I have said, it's you ignorant fools who are stuck in your ways. Doesn't take much to google Acura RSX-S horsepower, look it up for yourself, the k20z1 makes 210hp, if you want to question it more go on the RSX forums and you'll see there have been a number of 500+whp stock motor RSX's...so your "facts" are far from it, try again

  • @yonkersracing really? based off of what facts? you say a lot, but at least vwfansince4 and myself have some facts to back up what we're saying.

  • @t18013 not really, the K20 makes the same if not more power boosted as well, lrn2cars

  • @t18013 I'm not trying to boast up on the VW, I'm just trying to have a non-biased discussion here, so don't get that impression.

  • @yonkersracing well how about this, let's change perspectives and what if we turbo'd both cars, I'm willing to bet that VR would handle more boost than that K20. You can't really get off saying it's a superior motor, because it may be inferior in another way. They both have their strong points. The K20 probably makes its full power at like ~7,500 to 8,000 rpm, where I know, being someone who has a VR, knows that full power comes on sooner than that while the torque stays linear.

  • @vwfansince4 it was but I thought the same 12v motor could be found in later year VR6's (mk4) but maybe I'm wrong, I'm no VW guy. We don't know what the 12v in the Rabbit makes but estimate 190-200whp, it is nice because there is power all over the rev band (see my other video of the Rabbit First Drive)....the K20 is a superior motor, and it's only a NA 4 cylinder.

  • I thought the motor and trans in the Rabbit was from a '98? that's where I got the 14 yrs from. But it's no secret the vr's don't make big gains from bolt-on's and tunes/flashes...where I always thought the v-tec and i v-tec benefit much more? Having owned only vw's these last 16 yrs, I certainly can attest that hondas really shine once they are rolling. Hell, I had a bit a time pulling away from an S2K in our B8 S4, and I think the S2K only had intake & exhaust, lol

  • @vwfansince4 no one is making it out to be a big win, lol...you guys are funny always trying to downplay losses, to put it into perspective tho we're talking about a 29 year old car with a motor swap from a car that's only 10 years old, which is not much older than the RSX which only has bolt ons and a tune compared the the Rabbit which has a motor swap from a different car, bolt ons AND cams...dead stop would be interesting but ultimately the RSX will always have more trap with these setups

  • clearly the RSX is faster and pulled on him. No one is arguing that. But to make it out like a big win is ridiculous especially when you consider all the Rabbit has going for it is very decent power to weight. You can't deny that 29 yr old car w/ a 14 yr old powertrain hung in there pretty well. I'd also like to see what that same race would like from a dead stop.

  • @vwfansince4 lol @ 260hp with some bolt ons, you vw fanboys are hilarious...and it only took a lot of "rowing" when the VW jumped on the last run, the runs before that he got pulled a good car and a half before 100 mph...but you fanboys will say anything to save face

  • from what I've seen, that Rabbit weighs about 2200 lbs. That RSX would be around 2800. So the Rabbit is 600 lbs less unless the owner of Honda did some weight reduction. The Rabbit also probably puts out 190 hp, vs a car that probably puts out at least 260, probably more. And like T18013 said, it took a lot of gear rowing to finally walk away, which means on regular streets they'd both seem equal

  • I can't shut the fuck up

    haha

  • ha the lighter rabbit with a V6 still lost. The K20 rules. I have a turbo RSX-S

  • What a Fat FUCKER!!!

  • id rather have a mk3 24v vr6 over a 12v vr6.

  • Big Dudes in Little Cars FTW
