Oprah's Creative Mind Challenge | Thankgiving Thankfulness?

Today is Sunday, November 20, 2011 -- the deadline to enter Oprah's Creative Mind Challenge! She posted the question her http://www.oprah.com for viewers to share what inspires them. There are 3 ways to enter: photo, essay and video. I've already entered the essay portion

and I procrastinated until today to record and edit my video. I experienced the typical procrastinators issues: lighting not right, multiple takes due to blunders and nervousness and the worst possible scenario: the internet went down! Ugh!

Usually, Comcast/Xfinity is on point but today, something went terribly wrong in my house. I was about to panic and give up until my husband saw me frantically running around getting ready to call the cable provider. He reminded me about his AT&T mobile broadband USB gadget!

I was able to use the mobile broadband connection to upload my video. It took a little longer because it was a video but I was thankful that 1. He had the mobile broadband service and 2. My video was SHORT -- less than a minute! I got the video uploaded in time and it is linked here: http://myown.oprah.com/community/library/video_detail.html?entity_id=20311603...

Since it's a few days from Thanksgiving, I've decided to ask you, aside from the typical "good health" "family & friends" response, What Are You Thankful For? Of course you know I'm thankful for my husband's broadband service!

The broadband service is available to through many carriers and the prices will vary. It is NOT designed to replace your home service because it can get pricey for the bandwidth. But as a backup, truly mobile situation, it is perfect. I have used it to surf the internet (passenger only) in a moving car and in a rural area. As long as cell phone service is available, the internet will be too! Yay!

@11zeaky I had been through so many takes of the videos that I was soooo frustrated. The bloopers could not have been any more representative of the kind of day I was having trying to get those videos made! Thanks for enjoying my madness!

Lol @ the bloopers! Thanks for sharing this video with me. I must say now more than ever I am thankful and appreciative of the struggles and challenges I'm facing, what with going to school full -time, resigning my job, running a household and just all the other obstacles that I face on a weekly basis. I've learned to be thankful anyway that I have life, and that I was brave enough to empower myself most of all to leave my rather comfortable rewarding profession to pursue my own personal goals.

Congrats on getting your video completed and entered. LOL @ your bloopers! I wish I had done a video of ALL of my bloopers. My middle name is procrastination so I understand. EVERY year I say Imma change but that's too much like right. LOL! I have had SO MANY challenges this year but I'm THANKFUL that the lord has guided my steps, kept me safe and equipped me with good decision making. Happy Thanksgiving!

Honey, I am a member of the procrastination club. You would be disgusted at the things I've missed because I wait until the last minute. Smh. Oh, and the takes are hilarious! Many my videos don't see the light of day because I can't seem to get myself together. Smh. Anywho, I'm thankful for my creative self. Great video.

I am thankful for my professors being so understanding this semester, considering I didn't do so well with my time management. I am very greatful for the extension and the chance to do an assignment over. Thanks to my professors!
