Iomega was bought by EMC in mid 2008. EMC is the most repected name in the enterprise data storage industry. They make disk arrays for super computers. So I would say Iomega is in good hands. Includes EMC backup retrospect licence and 2GB online Mozy data storage account. I bought the iomega ego desktop 1TB drive. It was plu and play just like a USB flash drive and only has a USB drive, To get eStata you need to buy a iomega drive from their prestige line. ego desktop dies not have drop guard.

I have this harddrive (IOMEGA Rugged camo pattern) and I think the test is a little misleading, I don't think most people are going to be worried about dropping a harddrive turned off, what about when it's plugged in? I knocked my drive over while it was plugged in and it smack hard, got a write/read error and had to restart it. The drive appears to work though I do hear a clicking sound at random.
