  • I love new and innovative ideas well done. I built a traditional dinghy as a tender for our yacht and have been rowing it around our local canals for a bit of exercise. I am frustrated that I only get an upper body workout and started looking for alternatives. Do you think this would easily adapt to our Spindrift 11N?

11' is a bit short on the waterline to add leg power to much effect. A 16' canoe is about minimum length and just about the right narrowness for the extra speed whilst enough seaworthiness and stability. Though narrower would be ok on a canal; where are your canals? pleae reply directly to ut038@yahoo.com

  • Nice! What is controlling the oar feathering? I have often thought of a pedal powered kayak or canoe using a flywheel with a sprag clutch & jet flow water-pump.
