It can be hard to plant seeds in even lines spaced at the correct distances from each other -- unless you have the four-row pinpoint seeder from Johnny's Selected Seeds. Watch it in action!

  • I plant my carrots 4" apart. The 1-2 feet thing is outdated for many crops. If you keep the area weed free and use good compost and organic matter you can space much closer. The seeder is good for lettuce, greens, carrots, peas, beans. Tomatoes, Eggplant, bigger things need more space and you would not directly sow those anyway. Make sense?

  • I'm not a gardener with lots of years of experience but everythin I see and read tells me to plant my rows about18 - 24 inches apart. at a maximum of 6 3/4 inches spacing with this device what would you plant with it?
