Panasonic RF-4800 Shortwave Receiver 40 Meters SSB, Marine SSB, & Broadcast Stations SWL

I made a few mistakes in this one. When I was saying I needed to go down in frequency to find some broadcast stations for that time of day I meant to say up in frequency. My second idiot moment was when I was looking for broadcast stations I didn't realize I had the VFO set in the fast mode. No wonder there was some VFO backlash. LOL! It was in fast mode when I tuned the maritime SSB weather station as well. I have no idea how I accomplished that set on fast.

@KC8YOQ I guess I'll post the videos to my channel in a little while. I think it will be the easiest way and I had meant to post them anyhow. They're even short videos which is something new for me. LOL

That's really great your writing a book. Looking forward to it. You'll get it done in time. Just have to think that way and stay positive.

I don't see the Panasonic 4800 and 4900's on eBay often either.

Yeah good days and bad days. At least they aren't all bad is what I try to focus on. People that don't have chronic illness or disabilities like us take common things for granted. I know I did before I got sick.

I received some odd to me stations tonight that I shot some video of. I'll message you sometime soon to see if you know what they are and such. 73's

I don't see the larger Panasonic radios like the 4800 or 4900 on eBay often either. Was surprised this one sold for $131. Not cheap but much less than they normally bring online. Love this radio so far.

At least not everyday is bad for us. When you don't have chronic health issues like you and I a person tends to take a lot for granted. I know I did before the illness.

@262NagantRadios WOW it seems that I NEVER find these on Ebay! I did find a Gemtronics GTX 5000 40 ch base at a local flea market. The guy said it didn't work and sold it to me for $10. I got it home looked at the power cord and found it was bad I rewired it and the radio came to life.

Good days bad days I know how that goes! had a bad couple of days with the vision but better now!

This one is another eBay find. I watch a lot of stuff on there but generally only bid on items that go well below average value, listed incorrectly, or needs repair. This radio just fell through the cracks as they say and sold for much less than the typical price they bring. It works great to. I'm very happy with it. Best receiver I've owned.

Been up and down lately. Felt okay the past few days but had some bad ones most of last week.
