Some Japanese friends treat me to some very fresh fish!!

If you think this is cruel then... complain to Japan, not to me! This kind of food is eaten every day in Japan, and to many Japanese people this is perfectly normal. I'm just showing you because I figured people might like a window into places/experiences they've never seen.

Don't be ungrateful and criticise me for animal cruelty. I didn't order it, and I'm sure your country has some equally f**ked up, if not more f**ked up quirks and traditions than this.

Just enjoy it for what it is - a brief glimpse into a rather odd dining experience.

@bratzx102 I think that's a little harsh. I agree with you that this kind of culture is cruel. So tell some Japanese people that. I'm not sure why you're telling me for simply filming something that's already happening every day, thousands of times, and you wouldn't have known about if you hadn't seen this video. If you don't want a window into the world, and places you haven't been, then don't use the internet.

@benbenzon Getting angry at me for filming some Japanese people doing something that, to them, is culturally normal is equivocal to blaming a war correspondent for the war. If you don't want people showing you things they've discovered while travelling, and you don't want a window into the world, then don't use Youtube, or even better, the internet. Or do something constructive like write a letter to the Japanese Embassy. I fail to see my relevance in this at all.

only snakes need that kind of "fresness" cuz they r half dead with their cold blood. they would eat stones and wood, cuz they don´t perceive anything. their only clue is that it "moves"

any warm-booded has much more life in themselves than a agonitzing poor fish and can difference objects from animals. we r whole alive. we only need proteins

besides, from the pain, the animal being tortured, releases toxins that produce cancer.
