After spending over 3 hours railfanning the action along the UP Chester Sub outside of Columbia, IL, I decided to jump back across the river and check out the action along the BNSF River Sub in Arnold, MO. There was a lot of radio chatter on the River Sub, encouraging me to check it out. About 15 minutes after I arrived at the BNSF Tenbrook Road crossing(M.P. 20.90), a northbound BNSF empty coal train blasted its way through, led by BNSF 9881(an EMD SD70MAC), BNSF 6338(a GE ES44AC). BNSF 6310(another GE ES44AC) was the DPU at the rear. Enjoy!!!
You could also go to the East Elm Drive Railroad Crossing That's between the Shell Gas Station
and the Warenberg Theater.
