  • @phlser oh i bet they werent happy at all :), i remember SOD, mediocre at best.....but then again, they did it many times to many "Great" bands, notably supporting Bowie on the Glass Spider tour i think.....blew him out of the water too. :). sheer class...i love how they arent "fully formed" as we know them now....look for stuff from the Peppermint lounge DVD. first time they were filmed at all i think, and Mark falls off his Drum seat..raw, hungry...just pure class "jigahtshikaraha"

  • that was....that was AWESOME!!!!!!! Go Big Country, Let's Go!!(clap, clap)

    RIP Stuart

  • Magnifico, love Big Country

  • awesome

  • that is absolutely awsome seen BC recently in liverpool mike peters and bruce and rest of the lads still rock rip stuart never forgotten.

  • Big country really took off when The Jam broke in 82,Great band and top drummer.

  • @snoopypal remember that stuart had been lead guitarist in the skids for four years before this and all the guys were great players - they had a good pedigree. still, remember watching them at the time and being knocked out. bet spear of destiny were gutted by being blown of the stage here!

  • Better than The Police! Better than many, many "great" bands.

  • A band so young and so new should NEVER have sounded so good, so seasoned, and so powerful at such an early stage of their career. From beginning to the end, they gave their best. Thank you for the post. This was brilliant.

  • Stu- so young- so sweet- BUT what a voice!!!!
