I unbox the PS3 160GB Slim edition.

Since ps3 slim doesnt have a power switch do i have to disconnect the power cord or it doesnt matter?

How the hell do you turn this thing off? I know theres a power BUTTON on the front but there isnt a switch on the back or equivalent like the old model. If i unplug this thing on a night am i risking damaging my software?
