Arab Hossein? Seriously? I've read it before, but still...
No, I'm not going to bitch that it wasn't politically correct. This is the 80s we're talking about. It's just that the name doesn't make any sense. It treats Arab as if it were a surname or something. Arab Hossein would have made more sense. He'd have been "Hossein the Arab" instead of Hossein with the last name Arab. What's next, Sean Irishman? It's such a poor name. Iron Sheik was a major improvement.
I had worked with him on a show in VT a few weeks before the TV taping. The house show match was a lot more fun, he gave me a lot to make the match good. But TV matches being what they were back then, the squash was the norm. His work in the ring, he was one of the lightest guys, hardly felt anything he did as far as punches and kicks etc. But you can't work the big bumps like suplexes and backdrops. They just plain old suck. He was nicer than some of the other top guys.
