It also helps to connect to the TEST SERVER to test your audio and to see if you really can connect to a station. Many people using ECHOLINK from their computer have very low audio, so test yourself first to see if your audio is set correctly by using the TEST SERVER before connecting to a repeater.

im having alot of trouble learning echolink (new to te program). when running the test server i cant hear the audio playback. i made sure the settings were right (i think) as im using a headset. i really need help on this. please reply. oh and im running this on windows 7. 73, KI4NZU

Hey Guys,

Thanks for explaining the Echolink computer settings. I own a repeater system in the Philly area that I plan on connecting to Echolink, and had often wondered how it was done. I'm afraid i'm one of those folks who may be a little dyslexic in that I can watch YOU do it, and can pick it up, but reading ....I really get bored easily.

The audio segments really peaked my interest, since I am a perfectionist when it comes to audio. Thanks again for a fine job.

Only my experience with about a dozen home configurations, 192.168.0.1 is the only address I've seen used for the default gateway. I guess that proves that we can't take anything for granted! AE7HD

On the 92ad there is a cq button you can push, so you don't have to go back into the menu to change the call back to cqcqcq. They both have the same effect, this is just quicker. I have the 92ad and love it! I also have the 880h in the truck. Good work guys!!!

A quick tip to quickly select a URCall entry on your Icom IC-91/92 radios without having to go through the menus.

Press and hold the 0/CQ button and then rotate the dial. This will go through all your URCall memories. When you find the one you want, release the 0/CQ button and key up.

When you want to go back to CQCQCQ, just press and hold the 0/CQ button until the radio beeps. This makes linking and unlinking quick and easy,
