@journeyer58 I walked with my 2 year old cousin in crowded city streets, malls, and even at Busch Gardens. Aside from the child not wanting to leave my side anyways, do you know what I did? I held her hand, or picked her up. Then when she seen something that interested her, she would tell me, and we would go over there, if time wasn't a factor. If she started acting crazy, which is rarely, then I pop her hand and tell her to stop. A harness is not needed, unless your unfit for parenthood.

Have you ever tried to walk with a toddler in a crowded city street? If not keep your mouth shut. The parents of this child know that a child can run away at any time and into a city street would be hit by a car, or kidnapped. Would you as a parent want to know that your child's fate rested in your hands and did nothing to prevent a sure enough accident from happening? I seriously doubt, that you wouldn't want this sort of occurrence on your hands. I will again if placed in this situation do it

Noe I could understand if the kid was hyper and always wanted to run around but I think it's so stupid for leashes when you could actually make the connection with the child and hold his or her hand as a parent.

i don't see your answer to it. please tell me why it's better to leash your child than holding their hand?

...shouting will not hide the fact that you've failed to address the fact that I've already addressed this fact, Fatbird333.

ITS CALLED HOLDING YOUR KIDS HAND!

Good for you, wetastefa. Way to be a voice of reason.

Magnet, children slip away more easily then you seem to think.
And yes, I've known several good parents who kept their wayward young on leashes until they were old enough to know to stay close. Their children are quite happy and healthy, thank you for asking.
