once i saw a dude that wasnt scared at all and just walked through everything and it was hilarious cuz he fell into a hole where the zombies were suppose to come out. and the zombies and him were apologizing to each other hahha.

Part of it is also acting for entertainment value. If the person is not scared at all (Which I am sure some of them don't) then it will be boring for the audience member to watch. But if they are scared, or at least act scared then the audience find it funny if not just to laugh at the girl's reaction.
