@chrisuy1990 I can't say for sure but that's a pretty good point actually

I've also noticed that when i play along, it too sounds a bit sharper (my guitar). I know that they sometimes tune down half a step live, maybe they tuned down in the studio too.

@chrisuy1990 thought so lol. I kinda prefer it when they use standard tuning, a lot of their music kinda sounds better in Eb but when they perform with that tuning they kinda lose a bit of excitement, unless it's from the S&M album :)

Very good! Hella clean and precise much better than most and same here--- Metallica Is the reason I picked up a guitar at age 7

@metallicamaniac318 yeah tuning is just awkward sometimes lol. They started using Eb eventually because it strangely suits the songs sometimes, S&M showed that. But I find that when they use Eb live it almost takes a little excitement away and I haven't seen a recent vid of theirs that wasn't tuned down. I hope they use standard E at Download if they're playing The Black Album song list

@Metalhead76545 Intersting insights. But actually... In my opinion, I think they just tune half a step lower because James' voice naturally got deeper over the years and he'd rather not hit the highs he did when he was younger. Idk lol

Very nice and tight cover there dude.
Were you in standard tuning for this? Because the clean parts sounded a slight bit flat, I dunno if you've noticed but the track to me seems to be a quarter of a step higher than standard, not quite sure if they sped the songs up in studio just to make sure it sounded perfect but I always tune quarter of a step up when playing along, otherwise it just doesn't seem to sound right

@Metalhead76545 Yup, I'm in standard E. I've just always known Metallica to be in standard E especially in their early stuff.
