  • Oh gosh I remember listening to this song as a child when I had to move from Maui to Oahu and leave all my friend behind...they all got together and sung this song to me at school(: brings back so many memories thanks for sharing this amazing song with the world.

  • @Puailima246 I know what you mean, I grew up in Laie and moved out of state and this song always reminds me of that Aloha of Hawaii that you just can't find anywhere else. Always good memories :) Mahalo for the kind words.

  • Born and raised in Hawaii. Love Na Leo Pilimehana, this song gives me hope.

  • I think this beautiful song was banned at Molokai High School graduation a few years back maybe 2005 because of some court ruling affecting DOE policy, but the graduates had the courage to nullify the imposition of the court ruling by singing their chosen graduation song Friends by Na Leo. It was great. I think it was written up in Molokai Advertiser-News. Can anyone find that story, any graduates from then remember that story ? Let me know please. Email MolokaiMAN@basicisp.net mahalo

  • I saw naleo for the fisrt time in the 80s and have love them since

  • That one dislike must not have any friends..

    Beautiful song!

  • at our first grade graduation our teacher made a slideshow of small video clips and pictures of our class, and in the background was this song :'( so many memories <3

  • I recall that this Michael W. Smith cover was rejected as a graduation song for public schools due to it's Christian content. Like "Local Boys," this song became controversial for a time. A great song, sentiment. and message.

  • oh how i miss home! Theres no place like Hawaii to grow up!

  • I love this song.... makes me miss my friends in Hawaii....
