Spotting at NAS Oceana
Airshow-Related Operations
2009 NAS Oceana Airshow
Naval Air Station Oceana
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Thursday October 15, 2009
IN THIS VIDEO, you will see two F-15E Strike Eagles make a few passes over NAS Oceana as part of a "scouting" flight to check out the location. These two aircraft are part of the Strike Eagle Demo Team, which unfortunately, only flew once over the entire airshow weekend. You will also see one of two L-39s that gave media rides depart from Runway 5R at different times during the day. The video you see here was shot between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
I apologize for any bad color and/or vertical lines that may or may not be in this video. Once again, I have had some camera trouble throughout the weekend.
If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
