It hasn't been 'blurred' out... It's a side effect of camera projection! The comps resolution needs turning up in the advanced options in order to sharpen the image back up...

photo is mapped [front projected] onto basic 3d geometry..you then can move the camera [virtual camera]
most every 3d app can do this such as lightwave, 3dsmax, maya etc.
