Pittsoboro-based potter Mark Hewitt was invited to create an exhibition for the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University. He has worked on his pottery in North Carolina for nearly three decades. Hewitt draws inspiration from Asian and West African ceramics, and the native North Carolina potting traditions of Seagrove and the Catawba River valley.

The installation titled, "Mark Hewitt: Falling into Place," features 10 of his large ceramic pots on the museum's front lawn. The exhibition will be on view through summer 2010. "Mark Hewitt: Falling into Place" is supported by Marilyn M. Arthur.
