Downside to that is you'd require a more expensive, wider guideway, you'd require more expensive vehicle purchases, and it wouldn't really be practical. This is supposed to be economically sound and sustainable. If you're looking for automated full vehicle systems, you need to look into the electronically-controlled roads technology, which allows fully automated car travel on regular roads.

  • @Rickyrab do you realize just how right you are? you could go faster with Toyota and you would have better crash protection. Just add the same electronic controls and convert them to electric then recharge them by induction with coils in the track! you would use more electricity tho.

  • I have a better idea for a podcar system. First, buy up a bunch of Toyotas or Chevrolets, second, put them on a track...

  • Nice video for me that did not know anything about PRT.. Thank you!!!

  • Production note- you need some cheap lavalier mikes to put on both people, you'll get FAR better sound than from the camera's built-in mike.
