This was part of an assignment so I decided to use Blender to make a short demonstration of how the additive colours work (RGB). Read below for the tutorial on how this was made using Blender Version 2.49.

How this was made:
1. This was actually very easy to make (took me about 10 minutes to set everything up, and then a good hour for the animation)
2. Add 3 lamps (spot lights)
3. Change the colour properties of the light to red, green and blue under the lamp settings tab
4. Don't forget to select "Halo" and "Buf. Shadow"
5. Once this is selected increase the Halo Steps to about 3 or 4
6. The actual spotlight mesh was made by extruding a cylinder (just extrude the edges and scale up or down to create the shape). This was then placed directly where the spotlight was to give it the illusion that the mesh is producing the light, when actually it isn't.
7. 3 additional lamps (regular lamps) were added directly above the meshes so that the viewer can easily see the spotlights.
8. I added some simple animation to show how the RGB colours work together to produce white light (overlapping the lights, rotating the meshes, some camera animation as well, etc.)

***Tip: to make life a little easier, parent the spotlight to its specific mesh so that when you move the mesh of the spotlight, the lamp will follow.

I'm always opened to questions, comments, concerns, and requests.

Thanks for watching!
