This is a recording of J.R.R. Tolkien reciting the Ring Verse, from 'The Lord of the Rings: The Shadow of the Past'.

"Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie."

  • Yeah...I got goosebumps from that one. It would be like God dictating the bible to you. Nice post.

  • Magnifico, semplicemente magnifico.

  • Tolkien is a storytelling genius. Nuff said.

  • @x0xhoneybee0x0 I very much agree with you, I just wanted to say though that in a way I think you are sort of giving these immature children what they want by even responding and giving them acknowledgement you know? Sort of like "Feeding the trolls," so to speak. Disgracefull fools who try and dirty something so holly, as the Lord and Master Tolkien himself reciting the epic script from THE single greatest works, deserves to simply be shunned and ignored. :/

  • It's quite something, hearing the professor himself recite these lines.

  • Afroxec, the obvious troll that is obvious. I suppose I shouldn't worry about it though. The sun will rise and turn him to stone soon enough.

  • @mamadoritos This is definitely Tolkiens voice

  • But I don't think this is his real voice... listen to the recording of the Namarië poem... it is quite different. There was a recording of actors of this verse, and I think this might be the case.

  • @EnsisCruentus ur a dumb faggot rofl

  • @Afroxec My point is proven. I win.

  • This is epic!
