goddamn remedy's games are atmospheric, max payne 1 and 2, and now this. gotta buy xbox just for this game. btw his name is not really sam lake, its sami järvi. lake is in finnish järvi so a bit more international alias, but still basically the same name

Okay, I think it's supposed to be some-what "scary" or "thrilling" and just leave the genre to that, because I don't want a large argument on what genre this is.

its not horror its suspense THRILLER.

It's just a demo. You saw that he suddently ran out of ammo on it. They have said that both ammo, batteries and flares will be very restricted so that the player wants to avoid combat.
It's not suposed to be a horror game. It's a psychological thriller.

Um, why does Alan get 100 shotgun shells? A survival/horror game should make you fear that you can't waste a single bullet and make you conserve every single scrap of ammunition. Also, the slow motion just takes the scary element away from the game.
