@LolCaramelz like what?

@asparagusoffice I believe you're thinking of determinism (I may be incorrect as well, honestly). Your actions cause the gods to change theirs. Doing things yourself to get support for what you want isn't something I would consider fate.

@LolCaramelz IT'S ALMOST AS IF DIFFERENT PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS ABOUT THINGS.

I'm not, actually. Some of my favorite games were Baldur's Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Morrowind, the Total War Series--etc, etc.
I believe I have rather good taste in video games.
I just think that you guys are blinded fanboys of this game who can't see that it DOES have faults.
It is nonetheless an excellent game, and one of my favorites for this year-but it is NOT the 'greatest game ever made, a work of art'.
Hate me for it. I don't care, you know it's true.

@LolCaramelz Stop being stupid! you're probably some farm animal that somehow got a youtube account saying that CoD is better than this because someone told you that!
-
@gnorri03 So true... Marry me.

Yes, the game isn't the best thing ever. I loved this game, and it was the game that made me realize that video games ARE art, but there are better games out there.
I disagree on the substance. The gameplay was solid, the lenght just right, and the story was near-perfect. I can't see how you could think the game was lacking "substance". Also, I love this soundtrack.
It WAS my game of the year (Over Driver & Skyrim), but I guess I like gaming more in bite sized pieces.

@LolCaramelz Sometimes, that's best. I'll just quote egoraptor with "Its like comparing a snack food, to a high-class desert". for what it was worth, the game felt just right for what it wanted to do. no need to prolong anything if it wasn't able to keep its quality high.
-
You guys need to stop salivating over this game.
It was good, yes-but it sacrificed substance for style.
-
The chorus makes my jaw drop every time.
i think to speek in the name of humanity when i say: this is one of th best game ever existed, and it's been created by seven guy. and I think this is much better then some banal game like Call Of Dury...

Bastion's very fatalistic. It continuously stresses that solely relying on the gods will give you nothing, and instead doing things yourself will secure their support.
From what I believe, that message is correct for many faiths. This game isn't just well thought-out, it's a thought provoker!
