There was a kid sitting in the middle of the runway playing with her barbie dolls so the plane had to make another approach lol

Siren to warn people, vehicles, etc from crossing the runway. It's a small island. Runway also used for sports!

hehhe enjoyed landing at Funafuti.. though another 1000' of runway would have been nice! Bit on the short side for a Westwind... ;-)

Err... is there a brain present in your mind? An aborted landing DOES NOT have to land on the runway. THe aircraft simply when descending pulls up again.

Funafuti Airport is NOT that dangerous thoug at times holes in the runway maybe scary !!!I love Tuvalu. Tuvalu for ever on my mind.
